STC Twenty One Team Soars High with Successful Cranfield Course Completion!

STC Twenty One Limited, along with other partner DOAs and distinguished guests, were invited by The National Flying Laboratory Centre (NFLC) Cranfield University to take part in an event showcasing the Saab 340B Flying Classroom. The event was held at the recently opened Digital Aviation Research and Technology Centre (DARTeC) on the Cranfield University Campus.

The morning began with brief from Dr. Simon Place outlining the origins and history of the NFLC followed by an insightful description of the flying Classroom which is used by both Cranfield University and external University students studying post graduate aerospace studies. The high point of the day culminated in a demonstration flight where we able to follow along a typical teaching profile exploring cruise performance, longitudinal static stability, manoeuvre stability and dynamic modes. During the flight Dr. Place gave a running commentary on each of the manoeuvres clearly explaining the flight data presented both in instrument and graphical form on seat back mounted tablet displays.
