STC Twenty One Advances Safety Excellence with Part 21 Continuation & SMS Training

At STC Twenty One, continuous professional development and the highest safety standards remain at the core of our operations. We recently gathered for a comprehensive Part 21 Continuation Training session, coupled with dedicated Safety Management Systems (SMS) training, reinforcing our commitment to regulatory excellence and robust safety cultures.

Reflecting our belief in industry collaboration, the training session extended well beyond an internal update. We were delighted to welcome a selection of staff from DOA21 along with other invited aviation professionals and industry peers to join us.

Teamwork and sunshine: The STC Twenty One team alongside colleagues from DOA21 and other invited industry guests at The Priest House Hotel.
The Priest House Hotel – Castle Donnington

To step away from the usual office environment and foster a truly collaborative atmosphere, the multi-day event was hosted at the historic The Priest House Hotel in Kings Mills, Castle Donington.

We couldn’t have asked for better timing, as a lovely, sunny couple of days provided the perfect backdrop. The bright weather and peaceful riverside setting offered a fantastic environment for high-level discussion, focused learning, and valuable networking in-between sessions in the grounds.

Elevating Design, Certification, and Safety Cultures

The intensive sessions focused on navigating the latest evolution of UK CAA and EASA Part 21 regulations, with an emphasis on integrating SMS principles directly into the design organization environment.

Key focus areas included:

  • Regulatory Alignment: Ensuring our team remains at the absolute forefront of changing Part 21 requirements to support seamless certification processes.
  • Proactive Safety Management: Embedding SMS frameworks deeply into our design workflows, focusing on hazard identification, risk assessment, and continuous safety assurance.
  • Collaborative Learning: Sharing insights, best practices, and real-world compliance strategies with colleagues from across the design landscape.

Bringing together the teams from STC Twenty One, DOA21, and our external guests made for a fantastic forum. It was a great opportunity to share knowledge, talk through modern aerospace compliance, and strengthen our industry connections.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to a highly productive, collaborative, and enjoyable training event. Together, we continue to design a safer future for aviation!
